A Cyna Blue Butterfly

Take a look at our stunning new visitor, adorned in vibrant blue and purple hues, as it explores our Fall Aster, just on the verge of blooming any day now.

Exciting News: Our first Cyna Blue Butterfly has graced us with its presence! I’m left pondering whether it’s a visitor or a potential resident in Our Charming Backyard Butterfly Garden.

Here’s the scoop: They’re closely associated with plants from the Acanthaceae Family. Interestingly, we planted Flame Acanthus last year, which falls under this category. And here’s a fascinating tidbit: These butterflies are super tiny! In fact, the males rank among the tiniest butterflies in the world. No wonder those elusive caterpillars have been evading our notice!
